CTMU Dialogue with G-Dog and K-Man
An interesting dialogue I had with a highly productive researcher, and searching questioner…
Starting out…
K-Man: “Does the terminal domain contain all space-time, matter, energy, and forces of nature(gravity, electromagnetism, strong and weak nuclear forces) sound, light, ect. Does the Non-terminal domain consists of only unbound telesis?
G-Dog: “Can you cite a page or saying about ‘terminal’ vs. ‘Non-terminal’ domain in Langan’s CTMU; out of all the work I have in my mind I don’t recall this terminology. Perhaps Mathematical Metaphysics could answer you better. As far as I know Langan draws a box in which Reality is and nothing is outside the box. But if you could reference your question to specific quotes with pages I could read and answer you effectively”
K-Man provided citations…
Heating Up…
G-Dog: “I’m way outside of my usual experience here (as this seems more a matter of physics while I am primarily a philosopher); but I could somewhat clarify Chris’s statement and paper in a few distinct conceptual nuances.
Thanks for citing his paper and statement it is helpful in getting off the ground.
In short it seems to me that yes the Terminal (T) domain is physical (light, waves, gravity, electromagnetism etc..) while the Non-terminal domain (N) is pre-reality or unbounded telesis (perhaps inside the minds of identic operators or their minds ‘in-themselves’). Correct, but that’s not the whole story because this would leave it as a dualist conception where Chris abhors splitting reality into two halves like philosophers following Renee Descartes phenomena-noumena is wrong. So we have a problem which Chris solves.
Telesis is a Monic Substrate which can move through or that it exists between/through T and N—through a process called conspansion (for conspansion think concentric-overlapping spheres expanding and contracting and overlapping; the life trajectories/events of identic operators)—telesis can move between/through T and N, in fact it subtends them or is the substrate that moves through or ‘is’ both of these domains in depth existence. And by telic recursion (acting as a principe upon the substrate) reality is thus self-simulated (by or into state and syntax).
I hope this is correct but don’t take my word as the gospel, in fact it would be helpful to me if you could corroborate this version I staked here.
Best regards and feel free to continue the email chain further, indeed I hope you will. Best, Greg”
