CTMU MOVEMENT—How to Lead a Team of CTMU Scientists and Diffuse a Philosophy into Civilization;
There is a Code of Honour of those committed to working for the CTMU Movement. Although personalities clash at times, there must be a clear and concerted effort to build bridges to all the Paladins of Cognitive-Theoretic Modelling. We need all the Brainpower and nodes of weight-bearing capacity. At times there will be conflict and acrimony between people working under the auspices of Langanian Theory. But it is most evidently the case that a Group or Clique or Cadre of CTMU Scientists will Outlast any independent contributions. The Moral Support and Undergirding and forceful power of Peer-to-Peer recognition and encouragement will drive on the most dedicated and team players to produce time and again. A Happy Fighter is a Good Fighter and People Need the Group to advance and work diligently.
That Said there are some simple formulas that I believe will bolster and propel the CTMU Compatriots into the Future, an Intellectual Vanguard which will Diffuse the teachings of Langanian Theory into the broader reach of Scientists, Philosophers, and Academia.
First and Most Importantly We Need a ‘Why.’ Simon Sinek developed the concept of the Golden Circle of Culture in a Company. The Inner Core is the ‘Why,’ the Middle Ring is the ‘How’ and the Outer Ring is the ‘What.’ He says is that Almost every company can tell You ‘What’ they do, produce, or, make; some can tell You ‘How.’ But very few can ultimately tell You ‘Why’ they produce what they produce. Most of All I think that the ‘Why’ in many corporations is not very compelling as it may just be to “Make Money,” which as We Know is not the most inspiring of Telic ends.
Sinek offers the example of Apple as the very best company with ‘Why.’ Apple’s original purpose, its ‘Why,’ was to Buck the Establishment—Challenge the Status Quo, and Provide Individuals with the Utmost Computing Power as possible. A Worthy Cause, a Worthy ‘Why.’ This made Apple the most dominant seller and manufacturer of personal computing devices, computers, iPhones.
It was really Steve Jobs who delivered that Culture into existence, His vision and passion which transformed the company into the distributor of the Pocket SuperComputer. Which is the single largest tech break through in Human History—radically altering Our Lives Forever.
Steve Jobs himself said that there most be a Leader at the Helm offering Personal Touch and Restating Fanatically the Core Vision of the Company—those working in the trenches must feel empowered, morally supported and attain a sense of Meaning as part of the Common Collective. A Leader Must Design this Vision and Install It in the Culture [by reiterating incessantly] as well as live by Charisma.
So Any Organization of CTMU Scientists needs a ‘Why’ and a compelling leader and Culture through which this is instilled.
‘Our Why, Our Purpose, Our Fight’
Our ‘Why’ I hope to make ‘second nature’ to Our Compatriots, that We are to establish a Pillar of Truth in the Heart of All Science, the CTMU as an Institute of All Science. Reclaim the Telic Economy, Reclaim the University, and Alight a Moral [God-Centred] Compass Over the Whole of Western Civilization in a New Enlightenment coupling Faith with Reason.
In further regards…
There must be the right combination of personalities to make a company function. And I know that the CTMU is a Movement not a company, yet I think that it must be borne of the same practices in order to succeed.
It is said that a company Needs a Hipster, a Hacker, and a Hustler to succeed. A Hipster to Lead and induce a corporate culture, a Hacker to know How to get the practice and logistics of the company product down to a doable process, and finally a hustler to act as the salesman for the end product and company brand.
Now it seems to Me that the CTMU Movement attracts a fair share of Hackers, the practical scientific producers and process engineers that can educate and debate and discuss Ideas contained in CTMU Doctrine. But what it lacks is a Culture Leader and especially a Salesman. Salesman don’t exactly know How to sell a major metaphysical system and usually have no interest in such things to begin with,
As Far as I am personally concerned in the CTMU Compatriots Group, I can act as a Hipster; leading the Group and Movement Culture and acting in support and motivational encouragement to all the members of this Dream Team of Philosophers and Scientists. Before this sounds like narcissism, consider that I consider true leadership only as Christian Leadership, which is made of a service to the group members rather than a dictatorial command and control structure, I believe that a leader symbolically washes the feet of His fellows [Christ-Like], and that they are on equal footing.
We in the Compatriots have some Excellent Hackers, Educators, Academics and People that really understand the CTMU Much better than I Myself. They can write long essays, monologues and educational materials. They have the ANKoRT Paper memorize and committed to Heart. This is a boon to the Movement.
Caveat/Qualifier
When I say that We Need a Hustler and A Hipster, I hope that this does not denigrate the Grade, Quality, and Value of the Hackers. Without he Hackers there would be existent No Absolute Flow of Ideas or Materials. There would be nothing to work on, sell or utilize in the Culture at large.
So Yes the Hackers are the biggest blessing that Langan seems to inspire In Us Men of the CTMU and of the Faith.
We do However Need Salesmen to go about spreading that Work that We do in the Compatriots. Perhaps this will come about as We deliberate and continue in the Work itself—in Good Time more will be drawn to the standard of Langanian Theory.
In Closing I want Add One Last Illustration of Concept, Also by Sinek. The Bell Curve of Idea Diffusion. If You picture a Bell Curve from Left to Right, the first 2.5% of the population are ‘Innovators’ the very first in line to adopt a new Idea. We in the Compatriots are the Innovators. What We need to deliver is to Diffuse the CTMU to the next 13.5%, the ‘Early Adopters’ by moving past the ‘diffusion threshold’ of 15-18%. If this threshold can be Met, then the Early Majority, the next 34% will be captured almost as if by osmosis, automatically that is. Then the Ideas and Power of the CTMU will take effect in society all over as the living breathing philosophy of the 21st century. All the day-to-day and localized structure envisioned by My Colleague Mr. Goloboy will then take place [I.e.- schools, monasteries, local organizations]. Maybe, just Maybe in All of this We will not lose sight of the Truth and We Will Change the World For the Better—By Knocking Through the Front Door!
Take all this into Consideration, Sincerely - Greg M. Wilford
