How Can We be Assured Against a Global Wipe? What Was the Passion of Christ
Hasn’t Man spilt too much blood to be redeemed. Will not Our Own perfidy find Us Guilty in front of God’s throne? Not for the Passion of the Christ, to Save the World
This Question Was Put to Me By Mr. Tommy Goloboy, and for Him finally I think I have found an Answer worthy of the Question—And John 3:17 is the root.
Was not the torture, scourging and crucifixion of Jesus not the worst evil that Humanity could have perpetrated? The killing of God’s Son and the Killing of the Christ, what could be surpassed in its evil. Or now with the Human manufactured evils of the 20th Century, the Concentration Camps, Holocaust, Holodomor and Gulag. Hasn’t Man spilt too much blood to be redeemed. Will not Our Own perfidy find Us Guilty in front of God’s throne?
But Then I Ask You, For What purpose did Jesus Die on the Cross?
He did not come to condemn the World, nor through His Act of Ultimate Love did He intended to Incriminate All of Humanity. He had to bear the Wrath of Death first in order to prove that it, Death, and Satan have no lasting power but are going away into their dungeon of their own making.
No, Christ delivered Man, He did not Nail Him on another Cross fashioned from Heaven.
As John 3:17 proclaims: “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” NKJV.
With this We can find Hope. The Victory of Jesus and God on the Cross through the Resurrection was the Hope of All Man Kind. If You have an enemy, pray for them that they may find the Love of Christ as well. For whatever they are guilty of, I can assuredly say I am guilty of as well…
We boast not in Our strengths but in Our Weaknesses. All have fallen Short of the Glory of God. Simon Peter had to fall and deny Christ before picking up His Own Cross and Being the Rock of the Church.
With such a Vigour of Spirit, Know that Christ picked You Up. He Loved You First and He Forgave the very Ones Who nailed Him on the Cross. Even if We cannot fathom such an act of love, it is upon us to do Just This.
You Must Love Your Enemy and Your Neighbour, loving Your God May Come easy.
It it difficult to extend Love over Your Neighbour, But Somehow Someway it Has to Be done in the Name of God. And because it is Done in the Name of God it is always and eminently possible.
People Do not understand when a Christian forgives their Child’s Killer, a murderer is forgiven and the World sneers and calls this naivety and weak mindedness. Again God will show that the World is in Folly and that His Way is the Way of Love. What acts of charity and grace show forth this Love.
It is through Jesus that Such Love is possible and being My Brother or Sister in Christ I pray that Christ’s Love Reigns On You.
With this I leave You, My Peace I give You. Remember the Act of Love for which Christ Came, as in John 3:17, not to condemn but to Save. And Who are We to thwart this Loving act with Our Own Self-conscious Guilt. We Have No standing except in Christ—Amen,
