No Two Ways About It, It is Real-All of It: ’The Resurrection’—Therefore, the ‘Christ Metaphysic’

Inside-of Believing and Saving Faith there is a certitude given by the Utmost of Reason and Logic. The Resurrection Happened…Therefore it is All Real. All of It. The ‘Christ Metaphysic’ in all its Mystery, Glory, and Love. It is so sublime that it scarcely registers even in the minds of Believers, and Yet it remains.

In His Book ‘The Resurrection of the Son of God’ NT Wright meticulously lays the historical case for Jesus following in Albert Schweitzer’s footsteps in the ‘Historical Quest for Jesus.’

If something happened in Your small home town, You’d know about it.

Same Way that something Happened in Jerusalem in 30-33AD [forgive My inadequate timestamping]; A Man claiming to be the Son of God [‘Son of Man’ means ‘Son of God’] was scourged and killed. But people in this sequence of Events witnessed the Same Man walking, breathing, and talking with them after he was supposed to have died. Not just this But 12 Apostles went spreading the News with perfect clarity and recollection.

Here’s the Irrefutable sticking point, these 12 Men were Killed in Martyrs’ deaths for the sake of that belief. They were given ample opportunity to rescind their testimony but they didn’t—they died with Faith in the Resurrection in this Hearts and Minds unto the Grave. That and 500 people saw Christ alighted.

Now there is close to 20 some times more evidence in written material of Christ having lived and died in His Way than for Alexander the Great—Yet nobody disbelieves that Alexander was a great conqueror.

People say “Resurrection cannot happen, I have not seen it.” But it , Resurrection or ’Anastasis’ as the Greeks called it, was not just some superstition of dimwitted ancient peoples. They had just as much disbelief and incredulity as You and I might. Their minds not that different nor less cautious than Ours.

And Yet the Apostles Died to the last Man. Proclaiming ‘He is Risen!’

And if You still disbelieve, then How did the Faith spread across Europe over the Gentile lands. Scarcely will someone want to hear about a football game You’ve watched or a team Your root for in professional sports. And Yet they Heard St. Peter and St. Paul and also died some very many of them on behalf of such Belief. This only could have happened with the Third Aspect of the Triune God, the Holy Spirit, being poured out onto and over the World.

I like to observe and exclaim, ‘look at the end result, then take logical steps backward.’

If My Grandfather fought against Hitler in WW2 as a Private, there had to be something rotten in the State of Germany. If Biden is attempting to Jail Donald Trump, democracy is falling in America.

If Jesus was recounted as alive by hundreds of people as eye witnesses and by a dedicated 12 in particular unto their Untimely and Horrific Deaths. Then a Faith spreads over a continent and that continent in turn Revolutionizes the World. Something happened. And with all the Evidences from within the Reason begotten by a Leap of Faith. From where I sit inside of Saving Belief, the Christ Event Happened irrefutably—and if it happened irrefutably, then Scripture which Christ referenced in His Life’s Ministry [the Old Testament]; it is Real as Well. That is, the Old Testament is Holy Words of History, Christ Referenced Creation and a Creator Father God, and Christ is the Fulfillment of this Religious Metaphysic, really the Metaphysic that Creates or births Religion.

In total, the ‘Christ Metaphysic’ is Real, All of It. We Should spread the message, the Good News as such. How Will We Act Accordingly?
