The Historical Metaphysic of the Historical Logos
Will of God, Time, and the constituency of Being (from my manuscript)
This is an excerpt from my newest attempt at writing a complete book of metaphysics (6th attempt); This time it will be a Scripturally inspired text and I will be calling it ‘Logos and Man’ (in the titular Style of ‘Being and Time’) and you will be seeing a lot of it here on my Substack before or if ever it is published, cheers and blessings…Greg
Remembering The Relational Logos and Logos Down from the Mountain from my last article…
As I spoke of: Within this relationship and of a relational God there is the question, at least from the perspective of men, of the temporal aspect of life and of History. Jesus for the 21 century is at a distance of two thousand years in the place of his personal ministry. Not to suggest that he left us alone, but enough to say that his works have been handed (if not handed-off) to the church of Peter and Paul. Jesus partook of an Historical Occurrence such that we can speak of a Christ-Event. Now he was at the beginning of creation being of course the creator. With this being true he did not become incarnate or visible to men until the events in Palestine in the First Century. Make no mistake that he is always present and without him there is nothing, such that the term exo-Logos makes no sense; beginning-creator, middle-redeemer, ending-revealer. Such is of course a rough assignment of terms understandable to readers without being comprehensive or even remotely close to exhaustive.
