Why Scripture as Metaphysic?

Why Must we Apprise Ourselves of Scripture to Come to the Metaphysic of our Fathers?

It is simply that Scripture contains within it, not just the seeds of a fledged metaphysic, but is itself the fullness of a Metaphysic which is all at once a Cosmology, Ontology, Ontic and Historiology. The Logos running through the Cosmos, Horizon of Being and Nature, Real Entities and through History qua the Impregnated Present. Why turn to the Word? I believe Hebrews contains the necessary exposition:

“12 For the word of God is † living and powerful, and † sharper than any † two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is † a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
